Her areas of interest include ISO 15189 and Baldrige Framework deployment, real-time quality metrics, cost of poor quality, electronic management of non-conformities, creating a culture of quality, and quality in the pre-analytical phase. She also serves on the National Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award Board of Examiners and the ASCLS Patient Safety Committee. Jennifer is a member of the CLMA Board of Directors, the CLSI Quality Management Systems & General Practices Expert Panel, and the AACC Management Sciences & Patient Safety Division. Responsible for regulatory affairs, she also manages the best-practice quality management system for the CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited laboratory and corporate enterprise. Jennifer Dawson, MHA, LSSBB, CPHQ, DLM(ASCP)SLS, QLC, QIHC, is vice president of quality for Proove Biosciences. He has published numerous articles, abstracts, and book chapters, and has presented at national meetings for CLMA, ASCP, ASCLS, and AACC on a number of scientific and managerial topics. He active with the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) serving as the Northeast Region State Advisor, a member of the Workshops & On-demand Webcasts (WOW) committee, and is a faculty member of ASCP’s Laboratory Management University (LMU). In addition, he on the editorial boards for Lab Tests On-line and Medical Laboratory Observer (MLO). He is currently the editor-in-chief for Clinical Leadership & Management Review. Tony was the national President of the Clinical Laboratory Management Association (CLMA) and was on the CLMA Board of Directors for 12 years. He still actively teaches undergraduate, graduate students, and residents at the University as a Clinical Associate Professor in addition to serving on the College of Health Professions Alumni Committee as Vice-President. In his personal time, Ron enjoys playing golf, running, biking, vacationing in the Caribbean and spending as much time as he can with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys and appreciates the concepts of Lean-based principles and continually looks for innovative ways in which to exceed the customer’s expectations whenever and however possible. Ron’s passion revolves around quality driven and systematic approaches to improvement strategies. Recently, Ron completed his Fellow status with the American College of Healthcare Executives. Ron is the current President of the Wisconsin CLMA Chapter. Ron has earned an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Medical Technology, Bachelors of Science in Management and Business, Masters of Science in Management and holds certifications as Lean-Six Sigma Green Belt, Medical Laboratory Tech, and Diplomate in Laboratory Management. Ron worked through the ranks from generalist bench tech, to Coordinator, to Regional Lab Supervisor and ultimately Clinic (Nursing) Supervisor. Prior to his employment at Ministry/Ascension Health, Ron was the Administrative Laboratory Director for St Mary’s Hospital in Madison and prior to that role, Ron held the position as Administrative Laboratory Director for Saint Michael’s Hospital (2008 Advance Magazine’s Laboratory of the Year) in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
